In case you haven’t noticed, Americans are downsizing. Proof is everywhere: McDonalds has banished its super-size option; “McMansions” are out, “live/work” lofts are in; Hummers and Navigators are sitting like boat anchors on dealer lots, while Minis and Smarts are moving like mad (well, moving, anyway).
