Bugatti Veyron owner gets ticket for parking in disabled space

Bugatti Veyron owner gets ticket for parking in disabled space
It is the most expensive luxury sports car in the world, affordable only for the extremely rich.

So this ostentatious Bugatti Veyron stuck out like a sore thumb when it was illegally parked in a disabled bay in an affluent corner of Essex.

And proving that even the wealthiest playboys on the planet are not above the law, the £839,285 motor was slapped with a parking ticket before it had been in the space half an hour.

The owner – an expensively dressed man in his early 40s – looked unconcerned at the ticket, according to witnesses.

He slid into the luxurious leather seats and accelerated away – an attention-grabbing sight in a state-of-the-art Veyron, since it is the fastest car on earth and can do 0 to 60mph in 2.5 seconds.

Bugatti Veyron vs. Koenigsegg CCXR (drag race)

While the two insane supercars may seem similar on paper – two seats, mid-engine, 1,000 horsepower, stratospheric pricetag – their approach could hardly have been any different. One was the sum of all of an industrial giant’s considerable resources, the other the project of a start-up with a dream.

So which is faster in a straight line, the all-wheel-drive heavyweight or the rear-drive sprite? Somebody somewhere put the two together and raced them from a 60-km/h (37 miles per hour) rolling start all the way up past 310 km/h (192 mph).

One such example has just come to light and to the market. Like the similarly-named Sang Noir and Sang Bleu, this one-of-a-kind Sang Blanc edition is characterized by its color. In this case, that means a special matte white finish with contrasting black trim and interior. It’s based on the Grand Sport, so it’s also got the removable roof panel to let everyone around see who the special driver is.
