Mitsubishi finally posted pricing information on its new top-of-the-Evolution-ary-chart MR Touring model, and it definitely isn’t cheap. A bargain to some maybe, but definitely not cheap. We had first seen this uplevel MR at a local car gathering that seems to attract just about every bit of new enthusiast candy, but back then, they were referring to it as the Limited.

Mitsubishi plans to showcase 16 vehicles at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show in October. Two of these are the Concept PX-MiEV and the i-MiEV CARGO. Drawn along the lines of an EV-themed future for mobility the pair will serve different segments of the market.

As Tesla Motors is aware, pre-orders for electric cars don’t automatically equal sales, but that doesn’t mean Mitsubishi shouldn’t be excited about a reported 900 pre-orders for the iMiEV all-electric city car. The car is currently available to fleets and government customers in Japan; about 2,000 were scheduled for production this year…
