We usually assess convertibles in terms of structural rigidity, the square root of all vehicle dynamics. Rubbery bones don’t enhance transient response, and there’s the disconcerting phenomenon of dashboard and steering column jiggling to the beat of slightly different sambas.

Nissan has released official pictures of an emergency response GT-R which is used at the Nurburgring.
The special edition Nissan GT-R has been designed to provide fast response to vehicles that that get into difficulty when lapping the famous circuit in Germany, which is more than 12 miles long.

This may be Nissan’s first graceful convertible. The 350Z convertible looked very much like a hatchet job, executed after the hatchback coupe was designed. The old 300ZX was even worse, with its basket-handle roof bar; the 240SX convertible, from the same era, was another ungainly piece, with its B-pillar stubs.
