Under-politics continues with the tussle between the BJP and Shiv Sena over the post of chief minister in the Maharaja. Since the election results, the Shiv Sena has been adamant on forming a government on the pattern of two and a half years. Whereas BJP is not competitive on this formula citing MLAs as the largest party. On Monday, BJP and Shiv Sena separately met the Governor of Maharashtra.

Amid the tussle for the post of CM in Maharashtra, the BJP and the Shiv Sena are busy fixing their equation through independent MLAs. So far, 6 Independent MLAs have spoken of the support of both the parties. Out of these, 3 independent MLAs have declared support for BJP and 3 for Shiv Sena.

Earlier, two MLAs of the Prahar Janashakti Party announced their support to the Shiv Sena. In this, Bachu Kadu, MLA from Achalpur and Rajkumar Patel, MLA from Melghat, have announced their support to Shiv Sena. Both sides are from Amravati district of Vidarbha.
